Accelerating 5G Deployment in South Africa

The Wireless Infrastructure Association has begun a 3-year project to support the buildout of 5G networks in South Africa.
In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, WIA plans to deliver 5 separate knowledge-sharing events during the span of this project. The third event, Accelerating 5G Deployment in South Africa, will take place at the Garden Court uMhlanga on 20-21 February.
About This Event
Customized for South Africa and specifically geared towards knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
This event will include topics such as 5G and potential economic benefits, regulatory framework as determinants for 5G success, and an overview of South Africa’s telecom sector.
Speakers, presenters, and panelists at the event will come from both South Africa as well as the United States and bring expertise in a variety of aspects of telecommunications.
Is intended to boost the local economy, enhance the local workforce and overall job market, and accelerate the deployment of 5G networks in South Africa to improve connectivity.
